There have been some recent changes to WTAC rules that I think need to flow into our series to support the drivers in QLD looking to race at WTAC. I have spoken to Ian Baker and he is all for us adopting the rules. This was also evident in the recent rule survey responses.
Item 1: Tuner Class
We have worked through the rules and drafted the QLD version of the Tuner Class and added it to the series. See attached PDF. If you think I’ve missed something in that rule review let me know ASAP.
Item 2: Club Spec Class Update
We have gone through the lap times again and joined AWD with Forced Induction. This comes from being more aligned with WTAC and a heap of emails asking me to review and reduce the classes to increase competition. The lap times show all these classes should be competitive.

Street Class
Class ST-1: N/A Under 4000cc, N/A Rotaries, Forced Induction Under 2000cc
Class ST-2: Forced Induction from 2000cc, Forced Induction Rotaries, N/A from 4000cc
Class ST-3: AWD
Tuner Class
Class TC: Tuner Class
Hot Hatch Class
Class HH: 4 Cylinder Turbo 2WD over 180KW OEM (Hatch or Sedan Variant)
Sports Car Class
Class SC: Sports cars with a power to weight ratio of 0.125 to 0.220
Club Spec Class
Class CS-1: N/A Under 4000cc, N/A Rotaries, Forced Induction Under 2000cc
Class CS-2: AWD, Forced Induction from 2000cc, Forced Induction Rotaries, N/A from 4000cc
Performance Class
Class PC-1: N/A Under 2000cc
Class PC-2: Performance Modified
Extreme Class
Class EC: Extreme Class
