On Track Format
The day is run as a timed sprint event, where cars are spaced on the track, and overtaking is only allowed under controlled conditions to maximise safety (see track day rules).
All car makes and models are welcome. Each session on the track is made up of cars with similar lap times to minimize overtaking and maximise your chance to achieve your perfect lap.
The events are held at: Queensland Raceway and Morgan Park Raceway.
Track Day Format
See the Trackday Calendar
Track Sessions
Approximately 10 cars per set on the track, with 5 sets of cars per 1/2 day (approx only 50 cars). This makes for a lot of room on the track for each driver to have the best chance to set their perfect lap time.
Under normal conditions you can expect to get 5-6 sessions on the track for a half day
Electronic Timing
Track Day uses the transponder based electronic timing system.
At the end of each session a printout of the lap times will be available.
To get timing you will need a MyLaps transmitter. You can rent or buy from the race track office before the event.
